NABU to help State Customs Service select bona fide employees

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the State Customs Service of Ukraine are uniting efforts to combat corruption at customs. The formats of future cooperation were discussed by the Heads of the agencies at the  meeting on March 23, 2021.

The NABU Director Artem Sytnyk and the Head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine Pavlo Riabikin signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, according to which NABU will assist the SCS in selecting bona fide customs officers and share successful experience in combating corruption within the agency.

During the meeting, the NABU Director stressed that corruption offenses at customs have repeatedly come onto the radar of the NABU Detectives. Therefore, the joint efforts of the two agencies and the rapid exchange of information will help combat corruption at customs.
