Results of the online voting for the NABU Civil Oversight Council 2020
On May 29, 2020, the online voting for the new members of the Civil Oversight Council (COC) was held by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). Its results are published on the official website of NABU, in accordance with the Regulations on the NABU Civil Oversight Council.
According to the Law, the Civil Oversight Council is an independent body. The National Bureau does not have authority to cancel the results of the online voting. Therefore, the National Bureau applies to the members of the newly elected Civil Oversight Council to respond on the violations of the voting process.
Also the National Bureau proposes to improve the voting system by implementation the personal identification of participants of the online voting using the integrated electronic identification system ID.GOV.UA.
It should be noted that the Civil Oversight Council at the NABU is established according to the Law of Ukraine “On the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine” in order to provide transparency and civil control over the work of the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine. The council is formed of 15 members.
