COC's 8th convocation starts its work
On June 15, 2022, the first meeting of the Civil Oversight Council at NABU was held. The COC's 8th convocation was elected for a two-year term under the new Regulations that took effect after the National Bureau transformed into a central executive body with a special status.
"Despite the limited staff, NABU has been actively involved in registering both corruption crimes and war crimes. We are open to cooperation with the public and the Council as its representative. We are also grateful for their work which helps us become more efficient," acting NABU Director Gizo Uglava stated.
COC members unanimously elected Mark Savchuk, the leader of the two previous convocations, the council's head. Anton Mykytiuk became his deputy and Viktor Prudkovskyi was elected secretary. Respective responsibilities for NABU's competition and disciplinary commissions were distributed as well.
Ihor Moskvitin, Ihor Symonenko and Halyna Litosh were delegated to the first competition commission. The second one got Bohdan Kuzmych, Tetiana Suprunova and Olena Pokotylova. Anastasiia Shuba and Viktor Prudkovskyi will represent COC in the disciplinary commission.
As reported, on June 1, 2022, a rating online voting for the candidates for the Civil Oversight Council's 8th convocation took place.
