NABU and SAPO work jointly disregarding provocations — Artem Sytnyk
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) work as one team. Therefore, none of the provocations can negatively affect the work of the anti-corruption authorities. This was emphasized by the NABU Director Artem Sytnyk at the Conference «Implementation of anti-corruption reforms in Ukraine: stock-taking event», which took place on March 22, 2018, in Brussels (Belgium).
"Speculations in the media related to NABU and SAPO show that we are on the right way, and our joint efforts in the fight against corruption interfere with the interests of many people," said the NABU Director.
He stressed that despite the pressure the NABU Detectives and the prosecutors of the SAPO are faced, the pace of exposing of corruption schemes is not reduced.
"The SAPO prosecutors and the NABU Detectives work jointly. In the last two days we have completed five rather well-known criminal proceedings. I can only say that I’m doing everything to ensure and protect the independence of the NABU, which is constantly tempted by the authorities,” said Artem Sytnyk.
