OECD acknowledges Ukraine's progress in building effective anti-corruption institutions
Representatives of the National Bureau have attended the plenary session of the OECD Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ACN).
The ACN noted Ukraine's progress in developing anti-corruption institutions and highly appreciated their achievements. These findings are important because the European Commission will consider them when deciding on Ukraine's progress in reforms and meeting the criteria for launching negotiations on EU accession.
Bureau officers, along with colleagues from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, the High Anti-Corruption Court, and the National Agency on Corruption Prevention actively contributed to the preparation and review of the results. NABU detectives as members of the monitoring group also joined the assessment of anti-corruption reforms in Moldova.
The monitoring of Ukraine is funded by the European Union under the EU For Integrity program. The participation of NABU representatives was made possible with the support of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI). The meeting was organized within the framework of the Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ACN), a regional anti-corruption program established by the OECD Working Group on Bribery.
