On Dec. 26, 2022, NABU and SAPO completed the investigation of the former head of the Capital Construction Department of the Ministry of Defense and her accomplice - the director of a construction company, suspected of embezzling over UAH 18.66 million allocated for the purchase of housing for the military. Their actions fall under Part 5 Article 191, Part 1 Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The case file was disclosed to the defense for perusal.

USD 684,000, seized within NABU and SAPO investigations into corruption at customs, have been sent to the needs of the Ukrainian military.

On Dec. 21, 2022, NABU and SAPO notified eight persons of suspicion of seizing the right of claim for loans, which led to more than UAH 112 million in losses to a private bank.

More than 700 future detectives and investigators raised their knowledge of criminal anti-corruption justice through the Detective Studies project implemented by the National Bureau jointly with the Faculty of Investigation and Detective Activities of the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.

Despite a 5-month break caused by russia’s full-scale invasion, the operation of the eCase MS electronic criminal proceedings system was resumed on August 1, 2022. As of Dec. 20, 2022, it contains information on 306 criminal proceedings. Each day, more and more users from NABU and SAPO join the eCase MS, while the e-document generated by the system has undergone procedural validation in court.
