406 new cases, 125 notices of suspicion, 50 accused persons – NABU and SAPO results in the first half of 2020

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the NABU Detectives and the SAPO Prosecutors have not slowed down in the fight against corruption. In the first half of 2020, the investigation of 406 criminal proceedings was started, 125 persons were given notices of suspicion, and 33 cases as of 50 persons were sent to court. This was stated by Artem Sytnyk, the NABU Director and Nazar Kholodnitskiy, the SAPO Head at the press briefing “Presentation of the Report on the NABU and SAPO results during the first half of 2020” on August 17, 2020.

158 persons were given notices of suspicion within more than 700 criminal proceedings – the NABU`s results as of March 2019

The Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) investigate 724 criminal proceedings; 158 persons were given notices of suspicion of committing crimes (as of March 31, 2019).

314 accused persons and 149 suspects - the results of February 2019

As of February 28, 2019, the Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine investigate 692 criminal proceedings. Within the pre-trial investigations, 149 persons were given notices of suspicion. As of 314 persons the investigations were completed and indictments were sent to courts.

476 persons were prosecuted — the NABU results as of the end of January 2019

166 persons are suspected of committing offenses, investigated by the Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO). 310 persons are accused of committing crimes within the top-corruption cases. These are the results of the work of the NABU and the SAPO as of the end of January 2019.

302 accused persons and 153 suspects – the results of the NABU`s work in December 2018

The Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) investigate 635 criminal proceedings. Within the investigations 153 persons were given notices of suspicion of committing crimes. 302 persons are accused of committing crimes: the investigations of their offences are completed. These are the results of the NABU`s work in December 2018.

More than 450 persons were exposed on corruption - the results of the NABU’s and the SAPO’s work in November

The Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) sent 172 cases to courts, 7 of them — in November 2018. Trials have not started in 49 out of 172 proceedings that were sent to court.

Results of the NABU’s and the SAPO’s work in October: 730 proceeding are under investigation

As of October 31, 2018, the Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) investigate 730 criminal proceedings. 276 persons are accused of committing criminal corruption offences within 166 cases, which were sent to court.

Results of the NABU’s and the SAPO’s work in August: most persons exposed on corruption are judges

As of 31.08.2018, the Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) investigate 644 criminal proceedings. 161 persons were given notices of suspicion of committing criminal corruption offences.

NABU results in April 2018: 602 cases in progress, 380 corrupt officials exposed

As of the end of April 2018, Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) have exposed and prosecuted more than 380 corrupt officials. In 135 cases, the pre-trial investigation was completed and indictments against 207 persons were passed to courts. At the moment, NABU Detectives investigate over 600 criminal proceedings, in which 174 persons are suspected of committing corruption crimes.
