Case of Ukravtodor: number of suspects increased

On July 28, 2020, on behalf of the District Prosecutor’s Office of Warsaw in the framework of the pre-trial investigation, NABU and SAPO gave a notice of suspicion to the beneficial owner of a group of companies operating in the field of road management in Ukraine. He is suspected of providing an improper advantage to the Former Acting Head of the State Road Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) and futher legalization of funds in Poland.

Former Ukravtodor-Head received a notice of suspicion

On July 21, 2020, on behalf of NABU and SAPO the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA) joint with the District Prosecutor’s Office of Warsaw gave notices of suspicion to the Former Acting Head of the State Road Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor). His actions are qualified under Part 4 Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

NABU and the Poland Anti-Corruption Bureau exposed criminal group

On July 20, 2020, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) jointly with the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA) and District Prosecutor’s Office of Warsaw detained a criminal group led by the Former Acting Head of the State Road Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor). The group aimed to receive improper advantage from road management companies. This is the first case in the history of Ukraine when the international joint investigation team has exposed a particularly serious corruption crime. Due to coordinated measures, evidence of corrupt actions of citizens of Ukraine, the Republic of Poland and other countries was collected.
