Two lawyers caught on attempted bribery of PGO, SFS officials

NABU and SAPO notified two lawyers of suspicion of inciting an entrepreneur to give an undue advantage, as well as aiding in its receipt by officials of the Prosecutor General's Office and the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine. Their actions fall under Part 4 Art. 27, Part 2 Art. 15, Part 4 Art. 369, Part 5 Art. 27, Part 2 Art. 15, Part 4 Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As established, the suspects offered an entrepreneur to deal with a criminal prosecution against him carried out by investigators of the Main Department of the State Fiscal Service under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General's Office. In particular, they promised to ensure the closure of the criminal proceeding and return the property confiscated during searches (computer equipment, Mercedes-Benz S400 CDI, Porsche Macan GTS, Bentley Continental GT, Land Rover Range Rover). The price for such "services" involved USD 300,000 meant for the PGO and SFS officials and USD 20,000 meant for the lawyers.

Interestingly, in January 2022, as part of another criminal proceeding, NABU and SAPO exposed a prosecutor and his intermediary, who offered similar "assistance" to the same entrepreneur.
