Establishing justice is top priority for NABU and business: Semen Kryvonos met with ACC representatives
The efforts of the Bureau's leadership, including the optimization of its staffing structure, are aimed at having more resources to effectively control the processes of Ukraine's restoration and timely respond to corruption risks. This was emphasized by National Bureau Director Semen Kryvonos at a meeting with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce on May 19, 2023.
"When the reconstruction begins, we must have enough operative and analytical tools to respond to the related corruption challenges," Semen Kryvonos said.
He further noted that the fight against corruption encompasses not only exposure and prosecution but also systemic reforms in various corruption-prone areas, such as taxation and customs.
"These areas are the focus of our attention, and recent investigations demonstrate the results of our efforts," added the NABU Director.
"We are pleased with the gradual recovery of your country, the restoration of production and enterprises. We communicate this on the international stage and encourage visits to Ukraine. Ukraine holds on, Kyiv holds on, and the business holds on. We are preparing for victory and reconstruction. We believe in you and that honest business in Ukraine will be possible," said Andy Hunder, President of the American Chamber of Commerce.
