Kyiv City Council bribery case sent to court

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) have completed an investigation of a current deputy of the Kyiv City Council and other persons exposed taking UAH 1.39 million in undue benefit. On June 17, 2022, the case file was disclosed for review before being referred to court.
On Feb. 10, 2022, the deputy of the Kyiv City Council (chairman of one of the standing commissions of the Kyiv City Council), who was exposed by NABU and SAPO receiving UAH 1.39 million in undue benefit, was served with a suspicion notice signed by the Prosecutor General. Other persons exposed on Feb. 9, 2022 were served with charges as well.
On Feb. 9, 2022, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) exposed a deputy of the Kyiv City Council (chairman of one of the standing commissions of the Kyiv City Council) and five other persons receiving UAH 1.26 million of unlawful benefit for facilitating retail trade in the capital.
The investigation as of the facts of causing damages in the amount of UAH 9.3 million to the territorial community of Kyiv was completed. On September 16, 2020, the indictment as of Former Main Architect of Kyiv and the Director General of the developer company was sent to court. The abovementioned persons are accused of committing a crime under Part 2 Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
