On July 28, 2021, NABU, SAPO, and SSU unit for counterintelligence protection of economy notified the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine PJSC ex-Head of suspicion of misappropriating grain worth over UAH 14.7 million. The actions of the suspect fall under Part 5 Article 191 ("misappropriation, embezzlement or conversion of property by abuse of official post") of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), completed a pre-trial investigation of the case as of a representative of the international Grain Trader involved in causing losses to the PJSC “State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine” (SFGCU) in the amount of more than 60 million USD (more than 1.6 billion UAH). On February 11, 2019, the suspect and the defence were provided with access to the materials of the pre-trial investigation.
On July 26 the detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) in cooperation with the prosecutors of the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor`s Office (SAPO) took into custody the former acting chairman of the board of PJSC State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine along with the chairman of the board of PJSC Rokytne grain enterprise.
