The All-Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Moot Court brought together experts and fans of criminal law and procedure from all over Ukraine. The participants learned how anti-corruption bodies work, joined an investigation into top-level graft as well as the daily fight of NABU Detectives and SAPO Prosecutors against corruption.
The students who graduated from the NABU Anti-Corruption School 2021 gained the exceptional knowledge beyond that offered in universities, a unique experience that no other law enforcement agency can provide, like-minded friends, and faith in Ukraine without corruption.
The knowledge gained during the NABU Anti-Corruption School 2021 help to understand the importance of combating corruption for the successful development of the state, claimed 50 law students from all over Ukraine who joined the project. 15 of them are selected for internships at the National Bureau.
To improve the efficiency of pre-trial investigation the National Bureau implements criminal process innovations such as transforming paper-based criminal procedure into electronic format, using procedural interview methodic, and standardization of pre-trial investigation. The Criminal Investigation Standards efficiency was the subject of discussion at NABU that took place on July 22, 2021.
Most compliance procedures within NABU are aimed at establishing a culture of integrity and zero tolerance for corruption. Such cultural elements as self-awareness, self-control, an atmosphere of condemnation are the best safeguards in the Bureau's anti-corruption management system. This was emphasized by the Head of the Internal Control Department Roman Osypchuk at the expert talk "Compliance & Ethics in practice: challenges and trends", organized by the European Business Association (EBA) on June 8, 2021.
