The meeting was attended by Juan Carlos Wargas, US Congressman from California (Democratic Party), Brian Fitzpatrick, US Congressman from Pennsylvania (Republican Party), Robert D. McEwen, former US Congressman of five convocations from Ohio (Republican Party). The NABU Director, his first deputy Gizo Uglava, Head of the Internal Control Department Roman Osypchuk took part in the meeting on behalf of the National Bureau.
Among other things, the meeting focused on the legal framework of the National Bureau, the current state of implementation of anti-corruption reform in Ukraine, and international cooperation.
The congressmen expressed support for the actions of the National Bureau and noted the progress in investigating corruption schemes. They stated that corruption was one of the biggest obstacles for Ukraine on the way to the development and realization of its Euro-Atlantic aspirations and assured the leadership of the National Bureau of its further support.
