Swiss government will support NABU in combating corruption in Ukraine
With the support of Swiss partners, the project “Asset Recovery and Public Integrity in Ukraine” will be implemented. The Project will last until December 31, 2021.
This is stated in the Memorandum of Understanding between the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Switzerland. The Memorandum was signed on July 21, 2020 in Kyiv.
“Fight against corruption became the main priority of changes in Ukraine for me. Moreover, Switzerland has been an example of success for us in this area. I want to take notice on the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding. I believe that Switzerland will support us in preventing corruption and promote systematic and effective return of stolen assets to Ukraine,” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during a joint briefing with the President of the Swiss Confederation Simonetta Sommaruga on signing Ukrainian-Swiss bilateral documents.
