NABU Senior Detective studied the experience of American polygraph examiners
The Senior Detective of the Internal Control Department (ICD) of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine Zoriana took part in the 54th Annual Training Seminar of the American Polygraph Association. On August 25-30, 2019, 800 polygraph examiners from 61 countries gathered in Orlando City (Florida, USA).
“This is an unprecedented event in the professional life of any practicing polygraph examiner. This year, I successfully completed a course for trainers at the American International Institute of Polygraphs in Kyiv and I am grateful for the unique opportunity to learn from the leading scientists of this field from the American Polygraph Association. The workshop met all my expectations. Scientists, polygraph examiners, and representatives of the best American polygraph schools, like David Ruskin, Don Krapol, Pam Shaw, Mike Gugler, Mark Hendler, Steve Danken, spoke about their experiences and shared the results of the latest research,” said the ICD Senior Detective Zoriana.
The NABU employee participation, as well as representatives of the National Police, the State Border Guard, and the National Guard, was possible thanks to the support of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine. Within the 5-day seminar, they mastered the best practices of diagnostic and screening research, got information about the latest technologies that allow bringing the results of the polygraph examiner's work to a new reliability level.
The American Polygraph Association (APA) is the largest professional polygraph organization in the world, founded in 1966. It comprises over 2,800 experienced polygraph examiners from around the world, including the NABU employee. APA implements the highest standards of professional, ethical and scientific activity for its members by setting and publishing standards of professional activity.
